JACQUIE AGNEW

Director

Jacquie Agnew has been involved in women’s football since 2002. She was the founder of Lewes FC Women, and the driving force behind its on-field success. The team is now one of the top women’s sides in the country, playing in the FA Women’s Championship.

During her twelve-year tenure as first team manager, the team won seven trophies, including two as league champions. Continuous progress provided the platform for Lewes FC to launch its pay equality campaign in 2017.

Jacquie has held a number of senior positions within football, including board member and Head of Women’s Football. In 2018 she was awarded the Skins Citizen of Sport for her contribution to women’s football.

As Head of Women’s Football at Lewes FC, she developed a women’s football strategy including the creation of the player pathway, adding Development and Foundation squads to provide the first team with a source of players drawn from the growing local talent pool. She managed this expansion within a small operating budget.

She has extensive experience, knowledge and understanding of the women’s game. Having worked with UEFA A-licensed managers and coaches and elite players she has gained valuable insights in dealing with football professionals.
